Note the rounded head, small bill, shorter legs. This individual has paler eyes and blackish bill. These characteristics are not typical for 3rd winter Thayer's Gull. |
Primaries dark grayish brown, not black like a Vega Gull. Underwing nearly white. |
Note the typical, contrasting light and dark outer primaries pattern. |
